Teaching Assistantship Positions in France

The French Ministry of Education is offering 1,500 Teaching Assistantship Positions in French Primary and Secondary Schools to American citizens, between 20 and 30 years of age who are pursuing or have pursued a college degree and have a proficiency in French. Students without a major in French but with basic language proficiency can also apply.

Dates: October to April
Workload: English conversation classes 12 hours a week

This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Spend 6-9 months in France while earning a salary

  • Master the French language through linguistic immersion

  • Gain valuable teaching experience

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has an agreement with the French Ministry of Education to give priority to Wisconsin students/recent graduates requesting to live and work in the Aix/Marseille and Bordeaux Academies.
